Yes, you heard me right… today is all about designer sales! Shopping in general is expensive these days. I remember when $100 for an item was considered expensive and now I go into some stores and it’s hard to find something for under $100. How does anyone afford to shop?! Ugh. Enough about the complaint and on to the solution.
The Solution
What’s my solution to expensive price tags? Being a smart shopper. I have always someone who strongly believes in smart shopping. I am not someone who goes shopping a lot because I believe in getting less but having more in quality and that doesn’t mean I need to pay the expensive price either for that quality item. Being a smart shopper means knowing when to shop and what a good price is. There are the obvious times of year to go shopping for a GREAT sale like Black Friday and Cyber Monday but there are also times like January, right after the holiday’s and into the new year when you don’t think about going shopping. I think January may be my all time favorite time of year to shop. No one thinks to go shopping then so stores are quiet, inventory is picked over but it’s not a zoo so it doesn’t feel overwhelming and sales associates have time to keep the sale looking pretty. This year I found so many great shoes and you won’t believe that I didn’t spend more than $1000.
