Parisian Girls
What is the fascination with Parisian girls you may ask? To me, it’s so much. For starters, Paris is just magical. It is known for being one of the most romantic places in the world and, since I have been, I couldn’t agree more. It unlike anywhere else. Paris is filled with cafe’s that overlook charming streets, has endless coffee and croissants, effortlessly cool girls with great style and it’s a city that is easy to fall in love with. If you’e not convinced yet, I suggest you go to Paris and see what the buzz is all about.
Iconic Parisian Women
When I think about Parisian girls I immediately think of two people who embody everything that would today be considered #goals. I instantly think of Gabrielle Coco Chanel and Brigitte Bardot. Both Coco and Brigitte are strong, independent women who had different but great careers. They both were driven, beautiful and sexy. They show that a woman can embody all of these traits and I think that’s where my intrigue with the “Parisian way” began.
How To Look Like A Parisian
When I think of the Parisian vibe, I think of a few things instantly. I’ve talked about this before in a previous post, but thought that I’d add to it here with some fresh thoughts and a different outfit. A few of those thoughts are: well thought out, intentional, effortless, confident, minimal, and natural. Parisian’s have a way of encompassing all of these traits into one person and it’s so attractive to me and something I also relate to. I love an easy throw on outfit, but every outfit also takes some thought.
How to achieve the Parisian feel in three simple steps:
Step 1: Minimal Make Up
With this, less really is more. Let your natural beauty shine through and stick the basics. With this look, I used a little bit of my favorite foundation, used a little bit of blush from Bobbi Brown that I also slightly brushed over with my eyelids and finished the look off with a slight brush over of Benefit mascara
Step 2: Simple Heels
I’ve noticed Parisians tend to wear simple heels and with a lower heel. Probably because of all the walking and cobblestone that the city is filled with. Schutz has really good comfortable and affordable heels.
Step 3: Newsboy Cap
This style of a hat is the perfect final touch, not to mention they are so trendy. Eugenia Kim has some of my favorites.
