This fashion month there’s simplicity in the air. A noticeable movement towards “less is more” with a growing urge to streamline and simplify. So far, I’ve watched brands I love send blank but not boring silhouettes down the runway. At first, I’ll admit, I was confused. It felt like a lack of intention, but now I see that the simplicity actually speaks volumes. Putting an emphasis more on details that leave you questioning, “Who was that girl?” Rather than, “Who was she wearing?” So as we move forward, I think this fashion month is dictating that brands are taking a step back. We’ll see uncharacteristically muted pieces that almost serve as a backdrop to how you style them and what accessories you pair them with.
