To highlight or not highlight? That used to be my question. Now, I ask myself how did I ever not? I am obsessed with highlighters lately and think they make or break my face. They can break my face in the sense if I don’t use it in my routine when I have a good one because it adds so much light to my face, but it also can ruin my make up look if the wrong highlighter is used. For example: I recently got my make up done and I asked them for a natural and glow-y make up look. It sounded like an easy look to achieve to me, but I was WRONG. I walked out of the salon looking like I had a disco ball on my face and it was awful. I ended up washing my face and doing my own make up.

I started using this highlighter about 4 months ago and it is life changing. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten so many comments on my make up until I started incorporating this into my routine. I use the rose gold shade which compliments the blush I use so well.
I have used the Girl Meets Pearl highlighter from Benefit Cosmetics for YEARS and it is one of my favorites. It is super natural how I use it but extremely buildable and you can keep adding more if you want a more obvious look.
My sister got me the Ambient Lighting Palette from Hourglass for the holiday’s years ago and it is still one of my favorites. It is so pretty and I like how it comes with three different shades and you can mix them together or wear them separately.
Becca is the queen of highlighter and this Be A Light Face Palette is amazing. I love how many different colors come in it… it’s like having four highlighters in one. I also like that you can use the different colors of the highlighters throughout your face to add a little real life filtered effect.
This is actually the only highlighter I haven’t personally tried out of the five but I hear such amazing things and am a huge fan of Glossier products so had to include it on my list. Glossier Haloscope is supposed to be amazing (I’m ordering it as we speak). I love how people’s skin look in it whenever I realize someone is wearing it. Glossier product are AMAZING.
